According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a Clinton man was arrested for violating an order of protection.

On December 4th, 2025, Road Patrol Deputies were notified that a bench warrant had been issued for David J. Murphy, 36, of Clinton. Deputies located Murphy in a hotel in the Town of New Hartford in the early morning hours. David was taken into custody and brought to the Oneida County Correctional Facility regarding the warrant.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Murphy had violated an active stay away order of protection that was issued after multiple previous domestic incidents.
