According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a Clinton man was arrested after a physical domestic incident.

On December 10th, 2025, Road Patrol Deputies were called to a domestic in progress in the Town of Kirkland. It was reported that the suspect, Kristopher W. Bass, age 26 had engaged in a physical domestic with the victim in the presence of their child.

Ultimately, Bass was charged with Strangulation 2nd, a class D felony, Menacing 3rd, a class B misdemeanor, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, and Aggravated Harassment 2nd, a class A misdemeanor.

Bass was arrested and processed on these charges, then turned over to the Oneida County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. Bass was held on a $5,000 cash bail which was subsequently posted. Bass will return to court at a later date. In accordance with New York State Law, all firearms in the home were seized at the time of arrest. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
