According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Town of Verona man was arrested following a physical domestic dispute in the Town of Verona.

On December 27th, 2025, at around 6:40 p.m., Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Main St in the Town of Verona for a report of a domestic in progress. Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies determined that Christopher Zuti (Age 35) had struck an adult victim in the back of the head while she was holding her child. Deputies also determined that Zuti removed the phone from the victim while she was in the process of seeking Police assistance.

Zuti was subsequently charged with the following:

-1 Count of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. -1 Count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor. -1 Count of Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation.

Zuti was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and was ultimately held at the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court. Child Protective Services was contacted on behalf of the child.
