According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on…
According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on February 2nd, 2026, at around 4:45 PM, Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Oneida Street in the Town of Paris.
Upon investigation, it was determined that Donald Weagley age 77, of Clayville NY was operating a 2020 Chevy Equinox in a southerly direction on Oneida Street. Evelyn Pineda Naravez age 30 of Utica NY was parked in a 2020 Honda Accord on the shoulder of the roadway on Oneida Street also in a southerly direction displaying hazard lights. Weagley failed to use due care for a vehicle displaying hazard lights and was unable to stop in a timely manner, which resulted in Weagley colliding with the back of the 2020 Honda Accord. Pineda Narvaez was transported by Edward's Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Edwards Ambulance, Sauquoit Fire Department, Clayville Fire Department, Edwards Towing, and Mercurio's Towing.
