According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a City of Utica man was arrested following an order of protection violation in the Town of Annsville.

On February 6th, 2026, at around 8:30 p.m., Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Martin Court in the Town of Annsville for a report of a domestic incident. Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies determined that Dashawn Johnson (Age 35) had violated a stay away order of protection by contacting the protected party via telephone. On February 7th, 2026, Deputies located Johnson in the City of Utica, and with the assistance of the Utica Police Department Johnson was taken into custody. Johnson also had an active arrest warrant out of New York State Police for the same charge. Johnson was subsequently charged by the Sheriff's Office with the following: -1 Count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. Johnson was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and was ultimately held at the Oneida County Jail following his arraignment in CAP Court.
