According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on February 11, 2026, at approximately 1:48 P.M. Deputies responded to a one car personal injury motor vehicle accident involving a Bus, that occurred on State Route 825 and State Route 49 west bound on ramp. The operator of the vehicle, Rachel .E Gelormino age 30, of Rome, New York. It was found through the deputy’s investigation that Rachel lost control of a 2025 Bus owned by STA of America, subsequently colliding with the guiderail on the southern shoulder of the roadway. Rachel sustained minor injuries during the accident. Rachel was evaluated by EMS on scene it was determined that she needed further evaluation and was transported to Rome Hospital for further medical evaluation. It was determined that due to the slippery road conditions, the bus slid colliding with the guide rail Deputies were assisted on scene by AmCare Ambulance, Rome Fire Department, and Clinton Collision.
