According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, a Town of Vienna man was arrested on February 27th, 2026, following a burglary investigation. On December 12th, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, members of the Road Patrol Division responded to an apartment complex, located in the Town of Florence, regarding a burglary investigation. Deputies discovered during the late night hours, construction materials were taken out of a barn located on the property.

Further investigation was completed by both the Road Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Unit. As a result, Shane D. Farr (36) of Vienna, was arrested and charged with Burglary in the third degree (D Felony) and Grand Larceny in the fourth degree (E Felony). Farr was processed at the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building and is currently being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility, awaiting Centralized Arraignment.
