On February 25th and 26th Investigator Ed Constantine and Sergeant Aaron Avard attended the New York State Crisis Intervention Team Program Kick-Off meeting and training in Clifton Park, New York. This two day workshop-style training was also attended by members of the Oneida County Office of Mental Health and representatives from the City of Utica Police Department Crisis Intervention Team. These vital programs, which were initially funded through a New York State Senate initiative are now funded through the New York State Office of Mental Health and 2026 funding will support development/enhancement of Crisis Intervention Team programs in Allegany, Dutchess, Madison, and Oneida Counties.
