According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a Camden man was arrested after an investigation into a larceny that occurred in the City of Rome.

On March 12, 2026, the Sheriff's Office Road Patrol Unit responded to Walmart located on Rome-Taberg Road in the City of Rome regarding a stolen purse complaint. During the investigation, a suspect was able to be identified. Due to the nature of the complaint, the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Unit was assigned to assist. On March 12, 2026, the suspect, Tyler Marshall, age 31, was located and arrested for Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony. Marshall was transported to the Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Building where he was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Rome City Court on a later date.
