According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a City of Rome woman has been arrested following a domestic incident.
On April 16th, 2026, at about 3:34am Deputies responded to a welfare check on Turin Road, in the City of Rome. Upon completion of the investigation, it revealed that Delilah M. Snyder, age-29, left her 4 children, who ranged from 4 to 10 years of age, home alone while she visited a neighbor. One of the children left the residence and found a Deputy Sheriff that was parked in their patrol car nearby and reported that their mother had left them home alone. Snyder was charged with four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class-A Misdemeanor.
Snyder was then turned over to the Oneida Correctional Facility to await arraignment at Oneida County CAP Court. The children were turned over to an adult relative at the scene.
