According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a man was arrested following a domestic incident in the Town of Verona.
On May 2, 2026, Matthew J. Lenhart Jr., age 23, was arrested on charges related to a violation of an order of protection. Law enforcement responded to a home in the Town of Verona after the 911 center received a call regarding a physical domestic.
While investigating the reported physical domestic, Deputies learned that Lenhart's presence at the residence was in violation of an order of protection. Although, the initial call could not be substaitated due to lack of cooperation, Lenhart was arrested for the violation per New York State mandatory arrest laws.
Lenhart was charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd, a class a misdemeanor, and Aggravated Family Offense, Class E Felony.
Lenhart was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
