The 2026 national "Click It or Ticket" high-visibility seat belt enforcement campaign runs until 5/31/26. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office will be joining law enforcement officers across the state will be looking for drivers that aren't buckling up. Buckling up saves lives with an estimated 15,000 lives saved by seat belts since 2017. In 2024 it was reported that 91% of drivers and passengers are using seat belts every ride, along with 56% of fatalities during nighttime crashes were not buckled in.
