According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, a Road Patrol Deputy assigned to the Waterville Field Office received a walk-in complaint regarding a domestic incident that had occurred earlier that morning.

Following an investigation into the incident, John B. Klein, age 45, of Bridgewater NY, was located, arrested, and charged with the following offenses:

Harassment in the Second Degree- ViolationPetit Larceny- Misdemeanor Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree- Misdemeanor Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree- MisdemeanorCriminal Mischief in the 4th Degree- Misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child- Misdemeanor Strangulation in the Second Degree- D FelonyKlein was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building where he was processed and held pending an arraignment in CAP Court. Klein was subsequently remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Waterville Court at a later date.
