According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Bridgewater man was arrested following a failure to comply in the Town of Bridgewater. On 06/20/2026 at around 3:45 PM, Patrol Deputies assigned to the Waterville Field Office observed a 1989 Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Tristan Buss who is of suspended driver status. The motorcycle was observed eastbound on State Route 20. The Deputies activated their emergency lights in an effort to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled on private property and the Deputies terminated the stop. A short time later, the motorcycle approached a New York State Trooper and operated in a reckless manner. The Deputies were later able to locate Buss at his last known address in the Town of Bridgewater. Buss complied with commands and surrendered without incident. Buss was arrested, transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building, and charged with the following:- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree (E Felony)-Unlawful fleeing a police officer 3rd degree (A Misdemeanor)- Reckless driving (Unclassified Misdemeanor)- Unregistered motorcycle- Operating without insurance- Improper plates- Insufficient turn signal
Buss was processed and transported to Oneida County CAP Court for arraignment, and was subsequently released on his own recognizance. Deputies were assisted on scene by the New York State Police.
