What you'll do:Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety and security of the facility.Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.Escort, monitor, and oversee movement within our facility.

Requirements:High school diploma or GED.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must be at least 18 years old.Possess a valid New York State driver's license.Must be a resident of Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, or Otsego County for at least one month prior to appointment.

Benefits:Full salary $58,000 and benefits (Health, Dental Vision) during entire training period.Longevity pay after 5 years of service with a cap of $6,000.10 vacation days after completion of 6 months of service, and up to 20 days based on years of service.Fourteen paid holidays annually.Four Personal leave days annually.Ten sick days annually, four may be used for family sick leave, accruable up to 180 total days.Shift differential pay (3p-11p)(11p-7a).All uniforms and equipment supplied by the agency.25-year retirement plan at 50% of salary, at any age.Retirement Health insurance 80% County / 20% Retiree (single plan), 75% County / 25% Retiree (with dependent).Promotional opportunities for the ranks of sergeant, lieutenant, and captain.Reimbursements for overtime meal allowances.Specialty schools by assignment.Annual physical fitness bonus $1,500 - if participant scores 30% or better on the Physical Fitness Standard (300 meter run, push ups, and sit ups) based upon age.
