According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Town of Marshall man was arrested for an Order of Protection Violation that occurred while he was incarcerated at the Oneida County Correctional Facility. On July 17th, 2026, it was alleged that the suspect had violated an order of protection, by having an anonymous third party contact the protected party via text message on July 16th 2026. All while he was incarcerated at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.

Due to the nature of the complaint, Investigators assigned to the Criminal Investigation Unit were assigned to work the case. The text messages in question were reviewed and the third party who sent the messages was located. It was determined that the messages in question did violate the order of protection.

On July 17th 2026, Dennis M. Stackhouse , age 41 was charged with:

One Count of Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree ( E Felony) One Count of Aggravated Family Offense (E Felony)One Count of Criminal Contempt 2nd (A Misdemeanor)

Stackhouse was brought to the Law Enforcement building where he was booked and processed. Stackhouse is awaiting arraignment for CAP court.
