According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, three men…
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, three men have been arrested in connection with a Burglary investigation in the Town of Kirkland. On August 18, 2026, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a Burglary complaint on Pratt Avenue in Clark Mills. Due to the nature of the complaint, the investigation was turned over to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit. Investigators found during the investigation that multiple people entered the Pratt Avenue address numerous times between mid-July and mid-August, and stole property, some of which had been recovered by law enforcement. Investigators were able to identify two males and a female who were responsible. On August 25, 2026, Investigators charged Jeremy Coffin, age 44, and Ahtum Sadler, age 28, both from Clark Mills, with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class C felony, and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor. Coffin was processed and later arraigned at CAP Court where he was held without bail. Sadler was processed and arraigned at CAP Court and released on her own recognizance. Sadler was scheduled to reappear in Kirkland Town Court at a later date. On September 7, 2026, Investigators arrested Carl Shantal, age 47 of Clinton, in connection with the unlawful entry and theft. Shantal was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony, and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor. Shantal was processed and taken to the correctional facility to await CAP Court.
