According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on September 24th, 2026, at around 01:38 PM, Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Brothertown Rd near Van Hyning Rd in the Town of Marshall for a reported rollover motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, and subsequent to an investigation, Deputies determined that Max Coleman of Sherburne NY, was operating a 2018 Freightliner tank truck containing propane owned by Center State Propane in a southern direction on Brothertown Rd, when he lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway off of the western shoulder. The vehicle then continued in the ditch for a short distance, as the vehicle overturned.

The operator was able to self-extricate and was evaluated on scene by Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corp personnel. He sustained no injuries as a result of the accident. The vehicle has been recovered and towed off scene at this time.

Brothertown Road is still closed at this time.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Deansboro and Oriskany Falls Fire Departments, Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corp, as well as Rocker's Towing.
