According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on December 9th, 2024, shortly before 03:00PM, Deputies responded to an address on State Route 12D in the Town of Boonville, to assist EMS with a building collapse.

Upon arrival to the scene, Deputies were informed that there were two patients involved, both sustaining injuries as a result of the collapse. Both patients were transported by Boonville Ambulance to Wynn Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Subsequent to the Deputies investigation, it appeared the roof trusses had not been property secured, causing them to collapse.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Boonville Fire Department, Boonville Ambulance, and the New York State Police.
