The Sheriff’s Office attended numerous community events throughout this weekend.

Several members attended the “Evening for the Stars Gala” that raised funds to construct a recreation center in Utica for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Chief Deputy Rick O’Meara and Chief Deputy Jon Owens attended the retirement party for NYSP Sgt. Dave Olney. He was presented an appreciation plaque for his years of service and well wishes were given as he began his new role as Boonville’s Police Chief.

Also, the Sylvan Beach Fire Department celebrated its 110th anniversary at Vernon Downs. Lt. Carey Phair presented appreciation plaques and Hobart Credentials to Larry Dashno (50 years of service) and Rock DePerno Sr. (60 years of Service).

Sheriff Maciol attended the New York Mills Fire Department Installation Banquet and presented an appreciation plaque and Honorary Credentials to Ken Czupryna for 60 years of service.
