Saturday morning, The Oneida County Sheriff's Office Recreational Unit had the opportunity to participate in a mock snowmobile rescue drill with Sylvan Beach Fire Department, North Bay Fire Department, Vienna Fire Department, AmCare ambulance, and Tri-Valley Trail Riders snowmobile club. The drill was to simulate a snowmobile accident involving a trail groomer.

This gave the agencies involved an opportunity to assess their capabilities and train personnel. A debrief followed to ascertain what could be done better.

The Recreational Unit would like to thank these agencies for their dedication and service.
