According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, road patrol deputies responded to a single vehicle motorcycle accident on May 15th around 12:45am on Lee Center Taberg Road located in the Town of Lee. Through investigation, it was determined that David J. Terry (26) of Lee Center was operating a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling westbound on Lee Center Taberg Road. Due to traveling at a high rate of speed on wet roadway conditions, David lost control of the motorcycle and exit the roadway. Lee Center Fire Department arrived on scene and extracted David from the accident where he was then taken via AmCare Ambulance to Rome Hospital in critical condition. David was later transferred to SUNY Upstate Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by member of the New York State Police, Lee Center Fire Department, and AmCare Ambulance Company.
