According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on August 1, 2025 at approximately 9:19 AM, Patrol units were dispatched to Townline Road, in the Town of Vernon for a single vehicle personal injury motor vehicle crash.

Investigating Deputies determined that Thomas Cliff, 51, of Baldwinsville NY, was operating a box-truck eastbound on Townline Road when he suffered a suspected medical incident. Cliff's vehicle exited the Townline Road and struck a telephone pole before coming to rest in a nearby field. Cliff was transported by VineAll Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to his head and hand

Patrol Deputies were assisted on scene by VineAll Ambulance, Vernon Fire Department, and Rockers Automotive Rescue. No tickets were issued.
