Today, five Oneida County youth continued the sumertime tradition of attending the New York State Sheriffs’ Institute Summer Camp in Penn Yan, NY!

Throughout the week, campers will enjoy outdoor adventures 🌲, campfires 🔥, hiking 🥾, sports 🎯, arts & crafts🎨, hands-on demonstrations, and best of all making lifelong friends 🤝.

The Sheriffs’ Summer Camp is a program of the New York State Sheriffs’ Institute, Inc. The Sheriffs’ Institute was established in 1979 to assist the office of the Sheriff in advancing education in the criminal justice community, and supporting victims of crime and their families.

The camp is made possible with financial support from honorary members of the Sheriff’s Institute. The camp sees over 800 children ages 9 to 12 at no charge.
