According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on August 13,2025 at around 9:47am, Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on State Route 365 in the Town of Remsen.

Upon investigation, it was determined that 70 year old Lynda Briggs of Remsen, was operating a 2020 Ford Escape in an westerly direction on State Route 365. Briggs failed to maintain her lane resulting in her vehicle side swiping an oversize load carrying a mobile home traveling in an easterly direction. The operator of the oversize load, identified as 49 year old Jeffery Miller of Fort Plain reported no injuries. Briggs was transported by NorthStar Ambulance to Rome Hospital for non-life threating injuries.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by NorthStar Ambulance, Barneveld Fire Department and New York State Police.
