This afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office was honored to welcome Noah Coughlan to Oneida County. Noah is underway with his 5th Run across America, a historic 5,500-mile solo journey across 20 states over 260 days, culminating on July 4th, 2026 to celebrate the United States’ 250th Semiquincentennial anniversary.

This final transcontinental run will make Noah only the third person ever to cross all 50 states on foot.

After receiving a Sheriff’s Office tee shirt, challenge coin, and Honorary Credentials from Sheriff Maciol, Noah met with veterans and local residents encouraging unity while highlighting the enduring spirit of our Nation through media and storytelling for a renewed appreciation for America’s shared history.
