Another busy weekend in our community that began with the Sheriff’s Office Community Affairs Unit teaming up with the Office of Emergency Services sharing an informational & recruitment booth at the Home Show at the Nexus Center in Utica.

Several Fire Departments also held their annual Installation Banquets including the New York Mills Fire Department’s event held at Twin Ponds where Deputy Hervey presented Honoring Sheriff’s Credentials for Donald Wolanin for his 55 years of service. The Lee Center Fire Department held their annual banquet at Gone Coastal where Lt. Phair presented Honoring Credentials to William Baldygo (57 years) and William Baker (53 years). Chief Deputy Kinderman attended the New Hartford Fire Department event at the Irish Cultural Center. George Winn will be presented with Honorary Credentials for his 50 years of service. Lastly, the Vernon Fire Department held their annual banquet at Crystal Springs Golf Course. Thank you to all of our volunteers for all you do!

Investigator Constantine represented the Sheriff’s Office as a judge at the Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation’s annual Wing Wars held at Harts Hill Inn. The Sheriff’s Office has been part of this fundraising event for many years. Monies raised go to help cancer patients and their families.
