According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on…
According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on July 24th, 2026, at approximately 12:16 P.M., Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle, that occurred at the intersection of College St and Chenango Ave N in the Village of Clinton.
On scene, Deputies determined that Sandra Castle, of Clinton, NY, was traveling Southwest on Chenango Ave N when she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with College St, and then proceeded through the intersection, in an attempt to turn onto College St in an eastern direction. At this time, Joshua Hoch, of Utica, NY, was traveling east on College St when Castle entered the intersection in front of him, due to the failure to yield the right of way, Castle, who was operating a Chevrolet Trax, struck the Honda motorcycle being operated by Hoch.
Hoch was evaluated on scene by medical personnel for non-life-threatening injuries. Both operators were issued citations on scene, returnable to Kirkland Town Court at a later date and time.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the Clinton Fire Department.
