According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a Waterville woman was arrested following a traffic stop that was conducted on Tower Street, in the Village of Waterville. On August 19th, 2026, at around 9:53 PM, a Patrol Deputy observed a green Subaru Outback operated by Christine M. Elliott (45) with multiple NYS vehicle and traffic law violations. The Deputy then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Subsequent to an investigation, Christine was then taken into custody, and transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building.

Christine was charged with the following:Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree (Class E Felony)Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (A Misdemeanor)Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug (Unclassified Misdemeanor)

Several other NYS Vehicle and Traffic ViolationsChristine was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility, pending arraignment in CAP Court.
